Toronto Little Italy Community

Submerge yourself in an area with a lively European ambiance and beautiful character homes, placed in the heart of Toronto. Little Italy appeals to a wide range of residents including trendy urbanites, young fashionable couples, and students who are renting near the University of Toronto. The area is also known as Palmerston and is filled with young families and mature residents of Italian or European heritage. Little Italy’s trendy tree-lined streets, character homes, and local café’s attract visitors from all over Downtown Toronto.

Location

Little Italy is found on the western edge of Downtown Toronto and is neighboured by the communities of Seaton Village to the North, Dufferin Grove to the West, South Annex to the East, and Trinity Bellwoods to the South. Little Italy’s boundaries form a near-perfect rectangle: Bathurst Street and Dovercourt Road serve as its East and West borders respectively, while Bloor Street marks its Northern border. In addition to representing Little Italy’s Southern boundary, College Street is also the hub of Little Italy: attracting students, an active coffee culture, and ethnically diverse residents. The block is filled with coffee shops, trendy bars, nightclubs, and restaurants. Due to its walkability and ideal location, community residents can easily commute in and around the Downtown Core by foot, Subway/RT, Bus, or Streetcar. The TTC (Toronto Transit Commission) provides regular transportation services to all Downtown communities.
