September 8, 1995

Because a large number of smaller companies participate in the construction of a new home.

A builder can find it difficult to supervise every trade in every house.

When you consider the number of contractors and sub-contractors needed to build a new home you can see how problems can go undetected.  Sometimes, certain construction details just aren't completed.  So it's a good idea, prior to taking possession of a new home, to have it thoroughly inspected.

A qualified Baker Street inspector can quickly put together a list
of all defects and incompleted items so you can present them to your builder.

If you don't have this done before you move it's not easy to prove certain defects existed prior to taking possession.

If you did not have your home inspected at the pre-delivery stage, it's prudent to have it inspected a few months before your Ontario New Home Warranty expires.
